Beginner Driver Education (BDE) is the ontario Ministry of Transportation’s (MTO) approved driver training program.
Canotek is registered with the Mto, fully accredited and offering the course to you.
BDE (Beginner Driver Education) is an MTO-approved driving course offered by Canotek Driving School in Ottawa. It is designed to help new drivers become safe, confident, and well-prepared for both written and road tests.
You do not need to have your Ontario G1 to register for the BDE course. In fact, starting before getting your G1 is highly recommended. It helps you prepare for the G1 written test and builds strong driving fundamentals from day one.

The Ministry of Transportation requires ALL students to complete the online curriculum before beginning in-car lessons and must complete the BDE course in its entirety within 12 months.
